Alchemy provides the node infrastructure and APIs that many web3 teams build on, so a developer account there is often the first step of a new blockchain project. Like most platforms handling API keys and usage billing, it verifies new signups with a code sent over SMS.

Developers have particular reasons to want that code on a number they control separately. Client projects sometimes need their own isolated accounts, test environments should not share credentials with production, and consultants juggling several workspaces may prefer one contact number per engagement. Keeping the verification number inside a shared dashboard also means a whole team can complete a signup without passing one phone around the office.

This page handles the phone part. The live table above shows which countries currently have numbers in stock, what they cost and how quickly codes tend to arrive. Payment comes from your wallet balance, and the rented number is displayed in your dashboard immediately after purchase.

Enter that number during Alchemy signup and the verification text appears in the same dashboard view. If the platform never sends it within the activation window, cancel the rental and the amount is returned to your balance, so an unused number never costs anything.
